Wilma Scarton ... a story of beauty, Nature, Italy, and one woman’s everlasting commitment to excellence.

Wilma Scarton was born in the beautiful and magical region of the Northern Italian Lakes, growing up on the shores of Lake Maggiore in a microclimate, while a little cooler than Lake Garda and Lake Como, but blessed with palm trees and endless sunshine. Her childhood was spent growing up in the luxury of an 11th Century Palazzo, formerly owned by the great Italian family names of Visconti and Borromeo.

Surrounded by the most beautiful Italian baroque terraced gardens, in a place that Charles Dickens described as the most beautiful place on earth, Wilma at a very early age developed an understanding of the pure luxury of natural beauty. In this island of tranquility, in a world of ever increasing industrialization, Wilma’s passion for nature and her love for haute couture proved to be the foundation of what would become one of the world’s most exciting collections of Organic Skincare and Cosmetics.

 

 

 

 

However, it was Italy’s world of fashion that first attracted Wilma, in which she developed a passion and knowledge of haute couture design. Working with the leading fashion houses of Milan, and very quickly developing a reputation for her understanding of natural luxury and creativity, Wilma collaborated with many of the great brands in renewing their image and in creating new lines. With her energy and exploration of the many emerging segments of the world of fashion, such as fragrances and skincare, Wilma earned the recognition of being one of the industries Guru’s of Luxury. 

In 1990, having established herself within the highest echelons of the fashion world, Wilma then took this knowledge and experience of design and returned to the love of her childhood, natural beauty, in creating her own labeled brand of 28 patented skincare formulations based upon only natural ingredients. The initial success of this small brand led to the creation, in 1992, of the environmentally friendly company World Pharm Resource srl. This collaboration with her daughter Samantha would prove to be the foundation of the brand we know today as Green Energy Organics.

Later that year this pioneering brand was launched at shows in Milan and Paris, embodying the ideals of luxury and organics as fundamental ingredients to the ‘art of living’. The success of the launch very quickly led to the development of the sister brands of ‘Sharys’ and ‘Pure Beauty’.

In 1993, with Samantha moving on to her own successful career in the fashion industry, and with the ever increasing demands of a growing company Wilma experienced difficulty with her health with a life threatening illness. As she recalls, “with the aid of a specialist who shared my belief in the powers of nature and with the help of God I was able to survive this experience and return healthy and strong, with my belief in the power and beauty of nature being even stronger”!

Upon her return to the business, Wilma embarked on researching the secrets of luxurious Italian beauty rituals and ancient Mediterranean recipes for skin care.
Along with this research and her own experiences, she then assembled a team of leading Doctors, Dermatologists, Beauticians and Biologists, and continued the development of what we can experience today as the complete ‘Green Energy Organics’ product line.

This process has been ongoing over the past 20 years and with Samantha returning to the business in managing the manufacturing and retail growth, Wilma’s time and passion has been completely dedicated to the discovery and refining of the formulation of organically grown plants, fruits and flowers. With an ever growing knowledge of the Mediterranean’s ancient recipes for beauty, Wilma then turned her attention to the source of the required ingredients.

As an integral part of ‘Green Energy Organics’ development, World Pharm Resource srl has been instrumental in promoting and supporting Italian organic farming of grapes, olives, almonds, citrus, pomegranate’s, red fruits, plants, and flowers. With the establishment of contractual agreements for sustainable farming development, Wilma has been able to secure an ethical supply source for only the highest quality organic ingredients.
